Mullaney’s Irish Whiskey is a premium brand that everyone can enjoy. Irish whiskey’s smooth, sweet, subtle flavour makes it especially approachable, and perfect for drinking by the shot, savouring by the glass, and preparing in cocktails.

- Mullaney’s Irish Whiskey is triple distilled in a copper “pot still”, while Scotch whisky, Bourbon, and American rye whiskey are typically distilled just twice. This method of distillation produces a smoother finish. In our opinion, Irish “pot stills” result in additional depth of flavour compared to “column” stills often used in Scotland.
- Single Malt Whiskey: Mullaney’s is a Single Malt Whiskey: that is, produced with 100% malted barley. The majority of Irish whiskey is a blend of malted barley with either unmalted barley or other grains. Single malt whiskey tends to be lighter and smoother, compared to the spicier flavour of the others. Bourbon is sweeter as it’s made from corn, and rye whiskey has a spicier, rougher finish.

- Double Barrelled: Our Master Distiller chooses his casks carefully, as they play a vital role in the flavour and character of the final product. Mullaney’s ages initially in first-use ex-bourbon American oak barrels for at least three years, which adds sweetness to our product. As these casks have not previously been used to age whiskey, the oak instills maximum flavour. After that stage, our Master Distiller chooses the appropriate barrel in which to finish maturation. We often select Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, which we believe produce a delightful, fruity finish.

- Taste Profile:

- Mullaney’s is created by a reknowned Master Distiller and Irish whiskey veteran. It’s produced at Royal Oak Distillery in Carlow, Ireland on the grounds of a recently renovated 18th Century estate on the River Barrow. Our crucial ingredients — malted barley and water — are sourced nearby whenever possible.
